Position
 Bilingual System Support Specialist
Essential Duties
  1. Service Request Fulfillment
MDC department maintains NRI’s private cloud service, called NRI Cloud. The main work is Service Request Fulfillment, making changes to servers and/or network devices, which is done in nighttime in Japan. After being allocated service request tickets by System Support Team, fulfill the service request by due date based on the existing procedure. Depending on the information from System Support Team, properly prepare for the work as needed to perform the request.
2. Improve procedures for service request
Regularly make a suggestion to improve the existing procedures for service request stated above.
Improvement of the procedure includes minor improvement such as proofreading detailed typographical errors and omissions, and major improvement such as fundamental procedure change based on an issue/error that you may detect after using the existing procedure. This position is responsible for identifying/accumulating/reporting the improvement ideas

Requirements
  • Ability to speak, listen, read and write at a native level in Japanese. • High work moral and communication ability to maintain Clients’ IT system. • Basic knowledge and hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer. o Must be able to operate basics such as directory transfer/file edit on the platforms such as Windows and Linux environment. o Must be able to execute the command based on the existing procedures. o Must be able to escalate the issues if the existing procedure has errors. • Following experience and certifications as a Network Engineer is required. o 1+ year of experience as a network engineer.  Must be able to perform operations on Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.  CCNA and/or equivalent certifications. • Following experience and certifications as a Server Engineer is NOT required but preferred. o 1+ year of experience as a server engineer.  Must be able to perform operations on Linux servers.  AWS Certified Solutions Architect -Associate and/or equivalent certifications
