Position Title

Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Bilingual English / Japanese speaker
To develop conceptual electrical drawings such as single line diagram, power supply layout, lighting　layout　and　etc.　for　industrial　buildings　from　client　requirement　to　be　used　on　client　presentation, input to A/E firm and cost estimation.
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Perform electrical calculations such as load analysis, voltage drop and short circuit, research code issues

To draft design specification & scope of works by MS office.
To assist in recording & prepare the MOM in the design meeting with the client.
To draft presentation documents by MS office.
Lead coordination with A/E firm and stay on schedule.
To assist to draft architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, external civil works, and MEP drawing by ACAD or 3D Revit capability is the plus.
Assists Design Manager and other departmental managers in improving systems of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, and quality.
Find some discrepancies & coordinate between CASMEP drawings.
Print, organize and file documents.
To organize & filing digital documents in the server systems.
To assist site inspection & prepare inspection record.
To assist checking design whether if comply with the building code.
Able to perform tasks that may require making independent judgment, with minimum instructions.
Able to plan work and improve the design process.
Communicates well with internal/ external clients and consultants.

Qualifications

Experience performing electric service calculations, designing electrical distribution systems, designing lighting and lighting control systems, selecting and scheduling equipment.
Minimum Seven (7) years of demonstrated Design Experience
Developed forward planning skills
Electrical / Design or technical background is not essential but is advantageous
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction project
Knowledge of software including AutoCAD, 3D Revit if appricable and MS office
Working knowledge of state and national building and energy codes and standards.
Able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Physics first, data-driven mindset.

Ability to quickly learn and work independently, as well as in project team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing skills in order to write technical reports, procedures, and manuals for internal documentation.
