Position ERP Consultant

Summary A dynamic IT solutions provider is seeking an experienced ERP Consultant to join their team in Schaumburg, IL. This role involves implementing and maintaining Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems—specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365—customizing workflows, and ensuring the software meets client business requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in IT or Business Finance who can bridge the gap between technical solutions and user needs while mentoring junior team members.

Essential Duties

• Implement and support ERP solutions (Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance & Supply Chain Management), including design, product configuration, data conversion, and go-live support.

• Consult with clients to identify business system requirements, analyze operational workflows, and establish clear solution objectives.

• Gather requirements for the development of custom applications to integrate with or complement existing software.

• Coordinate with project leads to follow implementation methodologies, ensuring all project documents and deliverables are completed on time.

• Participate in pre-sales activities, including product presentations and proposal preparation to drive service expansion.

• Train and mentor junior staff and interns to foster team growth and improve service quality.

• Collaborate with the team to improve services, revenue profitability, and internal procedures.

Working Hours, Working Style

• Full-time

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday

• Business travel to other regions is required based on project needs.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in the field or with related ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional demeanor.

• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and concepts quickly.

• Ability to travel to other regions as required by assigned projects.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, or service industry processes.

• Experience in developing and proposing innovative technical solutions.

• Ability to assist management in organizational planning and contribute to decision-making regarding division procedures.
